What is Cupping Therapy?
Using vacuumed cup to create suction on the skin and decompressed the underlying muscles and connective tissue which promotes blood flow to the affect area to increase circulation and help flush out chemical irritant that is trap in the muscle and connective tissues.
What should I expect at my cupping therapy appointment?
Patient may be ask to change into patient gown. Doctor will feel for area of spasm, then apply a vacuum cup over the treatment area. Cup position may be change at an interval time. Sometime an infrared light may be utilize to help facility warming up the tissue. Patient may feel a strong suction at the are of treatment. Whole treatment time is around 12-15 minutes.
