Jessie Gao, L.Ac

Both her grandfather and father were seasoned practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), with decades of experience in medical practice in China and the United States. She had her bachelor's and master's degrees at Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (a 9-year program). During her studies, she completed three and a half years of clinical rotations in nearly 20 departments at the university-affiliated hospital, assisting mentors and renowned professors in outpatient clinics and inpatient care. She also trained in needle-knife (acupotomy) and long-round needle techniques for soft tissue injuries and pain management, gaining deeper insights into pain treatment and rehabilitation. After graduation, she worked for 8 years in the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department of the affiliated hospital (Liaoning Provincial Hospital of TCM), specializing in inpatient care and clinical teaching, frequently receiving praise from patients and students. Upon moving to the U.S., she earned her Doctorate in Oriental Medicine and obtained California (LA.C.) and national (NCCAOM) acupuncture licenses. Her expertise includes acupuncture for: Headaches and various spinal/joint pain, Post-stroke neurological sequelae, Peripheral neuropathy, Joint stiffness and arthritis. She also has extensive experience in treating: Chronic fatigue syndrome, Digestive disorders, Women’s health (gynecology), Cosmetic acupuncture.
